A little worried about your moves? Want your youngsters to feel confident on their feet, and enjoy exercising in a way that will not only make them feel better but look better? Brittany Pier says she has just the thing for you- or your children. Brittany, the owner and instructor at popular Be Dance Studio by BPureese on Youree Drive, is opening a branch downtown at Artipsy in the Red River District. Brittany definitely has the creds for the work. A native of Shreveport, she is a trained dancer who attended Shreveport Dance Academy 17 years, and was a member of the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet’s Junior and Senior Companies. She was also a member of Louisiana Tech University’s Regal Blues dance team for 4 years. After graduating, she moved back to Shreveport and opened Be Dance studio. She is the director and head coach of Black Ice Dance Company, has been a choreographer for a winning routine in the 2017 NDA Nationals, and a Summer Intensive Scholarship recipient to Broadway Dance Center in New York. She is also a singer who is very passionate about the local art scene.
Her classes will begin Monday, Sept. 9. Beginner Class are ages 4-7 at $70 a month. Students will be introduced to techniques rotating in multiple styles of dance for Jazz, Modern, Ballet, and more. Students will learn how to conduct themselves in the professional dance atmosphere and gain the introductory dance information needed to advance. She says ANY age is welcome if you need the basics (just don’t be embarrassed if a 4 year old has better moves than you).
Intermediate Class are ages 8-12 $80 a month. Students will be taking a deeper look at techniques rotating in multiple styles of dance in Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Ballet, and more! Students should know basic terminology. Students will learn how to conduct themselves in the professional dance atmosphere and gain the introductory dance information needed to advance. Any age is welcome If you know basic ballet and jazz terminology.
Advance Class are ages 14 & up $80 a month. Students will perform advanced technical combinations rotating in multiple styles of dance in Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Ballet, and more! Dance experience recommended but not required should know how to quickly to catch on to combinations. This class is fun, high energy, and fast pace. Students will learn how to conduct themselves in the professional dance atmosphere and gain the knowledge of the professional dance audition world. Depending on skill level, any age is welcome! We are thrilled to welcome her downtown and encourage everyone to get dancing!
